At Nadrich & Cohen LLP, we are passionate about motorcycles, and about motorcycle safety, so when the State of California unveils a new campaign to improve biker safety, we take notice. One such campaign was recently announced by the California Highway Patrol. The CHP is launching a year-long educational campaign in the hopes of reducing the number of collisions involving motorcycles.
The streets can be dangerous, and one Bakersfield motorcyclist recently learned it the hard way. Bakersfield Now is reporting that Daniel Joseph Ryel, 19, suffered major injuries when his Suzuki motorcycle was hit by an oncoming motorist near the corner of Fairfax Road and Avondale Drive in Bakersfield.
Because of their smaller size, motorcyclists are more vulnerable to injuries or death stemming from a collision with another motor vehicle. Wearing the proper safety gear can potentially help you to avoid a serious or life-threatening injury if you're involved in a motorcycle accident.
