First Napa, then Pasadena, and now the city of Long Beach is cracking down on reckless motorcyclists in its so-called “Motorcycle Safety Enforcement Operation.” The operation took place on June 30th, and involved placing additional police enforcement on specific, targeted Long Beach streets where accidents commonly occur.

California Motorcycle Deaths on the Rise
Motorcycle deaths are on the rise in California, according to the Governor's Highway Safety Association. Overall traffic fatalities have dropped to their lowest levels in 50 years, but motorcycle-related fatalities have continued to increase nevertheless.
